June is Men’s Health Month and skincare is just as important for men as it is for women. The skin is the largest organ in our bodies and even though historically women are more interested in skincare services and products, it is important for men to prioritize their skincare as well. Our aesthetician Rose has rounded up her top skincare tips below that can help men get their best skin yet.
Ditch the soap and use cleanser. Most men do not have a dedicated cleanser or face wash. Because it disrupts your skin’s PH level, using bar soap on your face can cause dryness and dehydration. Picking up a mild cleanser at the store can work wonders.
Use serum after shaving. Shaving is rough on the face and it’s important to hydrate afterwards with a serum such as a hyaluronic acid serum. Moisturizer does the trick, but we suggest kicking it up a notch with a hydrating serum.
Moisturize and protect. We recommend using a daily SPF of 15 or higher as part of your daily skincare routine. Even when it’s not sunny out, the sun’s harmful rays can cause damage to the skin.
Try electric razors. If you are prone to ingrown hairs or get irritated after shaving, try electric razors, as they are easier on the skin.
Eat healthy and stay hydrated. Men and women both need to drink a lot of water, eat healthy and exercise in order for skin to look and feel its best!
Get a facial when you want to treat yourself. Men can greatly benefit from getting facials. Even if you have a beard or facial hair, you can still have a facial service. Self-care is important for everyone!

- Cleanse (2 times a day, morning and night)
- Exfoliate (1-2x week with a facial scrub)
- Moisturize with SPF
